The Kona Electric provides two distinct battery pack variations. The standard Kona Electric employs a 48.6-kWh battery, promoting an estimated 197-mile range. The Enhanced battery version increases to 64.8 kWh, extending the driving distance to 260 miles, just slightly further than earlier models.
Constructed on a robust 800-volt framework, Hyundai asserts that the Kona Electric can boost its battery power from 10 to 80 percent in 41 minutes via DC charging. Additionally, it can power and replenish other electric devices via its “vehicle-to-load” recharge function. The prior Kona Electric achieved 160 real-world miles during a 75-mph highway driving examination.
The latest Kona Electric sees an enormous upgrade in quality and detailing for the incoming generation. Hyundai aims to transform the subcompact EV beyond just an eco-conscious compartment by introducing a floating central console to eliminate some of the separations between the front passenger seats.
