A Diverse Lineup of EVs

Infiniti’s commitment to electrification extends beyond a single model. The brand aims to offer a diverse lineup of electrified vehicles that cater to different customer segments and preferences. Whether it’s a sleek sedan, a versatile SUV, or a sporty coupe, Infiniti plans to electrify its entire lineup, ensuring that customers have a wide range of options when it comes to choosing their ideal electric vehicle. Let’s dive into the details of these upcoming releases.

The Next-Generation Infiniti QX80

Expected to debut in 2024, the all-new QX80 will take the luxury SUV market by storm. Infiniti plans to position it upmarket, with a price tag surpassing $100,000, putting it in direct competition with Cadillac and Lincoln. The QX80’s exterior design is described as blockier than its predecessor, featuring a new corporate grille.

Notable design elements include a “piano key” head and taillights, reminiscent of the QX55, as well as sleek Tesla-esque flush door handles. Built on the next-gen version of the popular Nissan Patrol, the flagship SUV will bid farewell to its 5.6-liter V8 engine and embrace a twin-turbo V6 that delivers around 450 horsepower. This power boost and improved fuel efficiency are expected to offer a thrilling driving experience.

Luxurious features, such as an air suspension that lowers when parked for easier entry and exit, a spacious cabin with ample legroom, and a massive 24-inch display spanning the dashboard, will further elevate the QX80’s appeal.

Introducing the QX65

Infiniti has exciting plans for a new model called the QX65, which will directly compete with the popular Lexus RX. Based on the QX60, which itself shares its platform with the Nissan Pathfinder, the QX65 will feature a more coupe-like SUV profile, for those seeking a sportier aesthetic.

It will adopt the grille design of the upcoming QX80 and sport distinctive “shark fin taillights.” While specific details are still scarce, this new addition to Infiniti’s lineup promises to offer a compelling blend of style, performance, and luxury.

Infiniti’s Electric Future

Infiniti has been among the first automotive companies to announce plans for a fully electric lineup by 2030. However, the brand has adjusted its timeline to keep up with the fast-paced industry. Reports indicate that Infiniti’s first all-electric model, the new Q70 sedan, will hit the market by the end of 2026. Building on the legacy of the discontinued Q70, this electric sedan is expected to deliver a striking design with short overhangs and a longer wheelbase.

A distinctive lighting signature that spans the car’s width will showcase its modern aesthetics, drawing comparisons to the likes of the Tesla Model S and Porsche. The following year will witness the debut of an all-electric midsize crossover, although details on this particular model are currently limited.

However, its commitment to innovative design and advanced technology will be prevalent across its electric lineup, with features such as piano-key lighting and retractable door handles becoming signature elements of the Infiniti brand.

Infiniti’s ambitious plans for the future showcase its dedication to providing customers with exceptional luxury vehicles that embrace the latest advancements in technology and sustainable mobility.
